Artificial Sweeteners - Great for Weight Gain

Plump Up wth Man Made Sugar Substitutes

If your goal is weight loss, stay away from aspartame (NutraSweet, Equal), sucralose (Splenda), sacchrin or acesulfame.

These chemicals were not created in nature, but in laboratories. They have an adverse affect on the hypothalamus (the master gland) which sets the stage for obesity. The hypothalamus regulates metabolism and physiological hunger. When it is not working as intended, your metabolism will be slow and you will experience intense food cravings and constant hunger pains.

Sucralose is made from sugar, but it doesn't really taste like sugar. One of the hydrogen atoms is replaced with chlorine. Chlorine is unnatural, and should never be consumed.

A study was done where people switched from diet soda to regular soda and lost weight. Diet soda may trick your body into thinking it is getting sugar. When the sugar never materializes, the body craves this sweetness until it gets it.

A more recent study showed rat pups given artificial sweetener gained weight. An argument was made that people think they can still have their Big Mac as long as they order a diet soda. But, this does not apply to rats.

These chemicals not only slow your metabolism, they are chemically addicting and cause depression and anxiety. Do not introduce man made sweeteners into your body, unless weight gain and therapy treatment are your goals.
